
Flax + Chia Lemon Oatmeal

This zesty porridge recipe will help to wake up your senses in the morning as well as your taste buds!
Ingredients
Buy ingredients online at your selected retailer
- 1/4 cup oats
- 3/4 cup water (or preferred milk)
- 1/2 banana, mashed
- 1/2 tsp lemon zest
- Juice of 1/4 lemon
- 2 tsp preferred sweetener
- 2tsp Bioglan Superfoods Flax + Chia
- For Chocolatey Date Bites: 2 medjool dates
- 1tsp Bioglan Superfoods Cacao Boost
- 1tsp Bioglan Superfoods Flax + Chia (for topping)
- Lemon zest
Method
Add the oats, water, banana and lemon zest to a saucepan. Bring to boil then stir continuously for 1 minute. Once cooked, mix in the lemon juice, sweetener and Bioglan Superfoods Flax + Chia seeds.
To make the Chocolatey Date Bites, soak 2 medjool dates in hot water until softened. Drain and mash then stir in 1tsp Bioglan Superfoods Flax + Chia, 1 tsp Bioglan Superfoods Cacao and some lemon zest. Roll into mini balls.
Serve the Oatmeal topped with the Date Bites, hazelnuts, banana slices, lemon zest, a sprinkle of Bioglan Superfoods Flax + Chia and a drizzle of honey, if desired.
